Kasol Kheerganga Trek is the most appealing trekking location in Himachal Pradesh’s Parvati Valley, one of the easier treks in the Himalayas. It takes you through some spectacular views. It is perfect for any inexperienced trekker or backpacker because it doesn’t require a lot of time or previous trekking experience.
You will be treated to breathtaking views of nature as you stroll through Himachal Pradesh’s picturesque terrain. The Kheerganga trek is a great option if you want to experience some of the most intriguing scenery that nature has to offer. The trail passes through wonderful meadows, pine-forested trails, a few waterfalls as well as some wooden bridges and some slippery patches as you reach the summit at almost 9700 ft above mean sea level.
If you have a thing for visiting places with religious value, this trek has to be on your list as the trek holds beautiful Parvati Kund, a holy hot spring that is just what you need to feel when it’s too cold outside.
At Parvati Kund, at Kheerganga highest point, there is a Shiva temple. Hinduism believes that after losing to Lord Ganesha, Kartikeya, Lord Ganesha’s brother, was known to meditate and pray in Kheerganga. While visiting her son, Parvati had the need to make rice pudding. Legends claim that because of the hot water spring nearby, Parvati actually cooked in the natural hot water itself. This holy, mystical tourist destination was given the name Kheerganga in honour of this significant legendary event.
